On December 23, the inaugural meeting of the Second Term of the Sub‑Technical Committee on Safety Protective Devices under the National Technical Committee for Mechanical Safety Standardization, together with the 2025 Standards Review Conference, was successfully held in Rugao, Jiangsu Province. The event was attended by nearly 70 participants, including leaders from the National Standardization Administration, the National Technical Committee for Mechanical Safety Standardization, local government officials, and all members of the sub‑committee.
The meeting was chaired by Zhang Xiaofei, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Mechanical Safety Standardization. Attending leaders presented appointment letters to the members of the new term, while delegates heard reports on the previous subcommittee’s work and the new subcommittee’s work plan. The meeting also reviewed the “Statutes of the Second Term of the Subtechnical Committee on Safety Protective Devices of the National Technical Committee for Mechanical Safety Standardization” and the “Detailed Rules of Procedure for the Secretariat.” In addition, the meeting held an in-depth discussion on the development and revision of industry standards for safety protective devices through 2025.
